Services of Baltimore is a private 501 (C ) (3) non-profit
organization serving the entire state of Maryland and The
district of Columbia. For many decades the agency focus
was on unwed pregnant teenagers and young women who needed
a “hiding” place while pregnant.
The mission expanded in the early 70”s to serve at-risk
teen aged girls who needed pregnancy prevention skills and
to parenting programs for teen mothers.
The agency is licensed by the Maryland Department
of Human Resources as a large group home providing residential
services to 38 teen girls and infants/toddlers. Additionally,
the Mill School is licensed by the State Department of Education
to teach grades 7 through 11 and GED preparation. There
is an on-grounds school.
Referrals and
funding come from The Departments of Juvenile Services and
The Department Social Services. Referrals can only be accepted
from these two funding sources.
